Introducing Muoto™ pre-commercial sales

During the pre-commercial sales Muoto products are being manufactured at our demo plant, located within Metsä Group’s mill site in Äänekoski, Finland. This demo plant is crucial for testing an entirely new production method that converts wood  fibre into safe packaging while conserving raw materials, energy, and water.

At this stage, only box deliveries are available due to limited volumes, and we cannot guarantee stock availability. Our product range is evolving, with new offerings planned for 2025, while some existing products may be discontinued. 

Additionally, Metsä Group has decided to initiate a pre-engineering project for the first commercial factory producing Muoto. Pre-engineering is a crucial planning phase, after which Metsä Group will have the necessary conditions in place to consider the factory investment. This phase is expected to be completed in early 2025.
